FIXED: [10.90b1] Annotation Bar is very buggy :-(

Post by pjj »

Annotation Bar seems to be very buggy, alas. First off, toolbar button (and View drop down menu icon) doesn't indicate whether it is on or off; it is always off for me, even though I've just clicked it to switch it on. Then, I assume it should work the same as Document Map: globally. Alas, when I switch it on for one document and then switch to another document, it is not displayed there. Then when I switch back and click again on toolbar icon, second Annotation Bar emerges. Then clicking on icon shows and hides this second Annotation bar, but not the first one.

Show "Find all" matches doesn't work for me.
Selection made upward doesn't show for me (made downward works OK; multiple selection works both ways.)
Selection made by Ctrl-Shift-End doesn't show for me.
Bookmark markings are almost invisible.

(I use no theme.)

I can confirm most of the same issues reported above - though I haven't seen a double annotation bar...

Should work better in beta 2.

The colors used are taken from the theme colors, so you can change it yourself. E.g. the bookmark color.

Find All only works if the output option is set to highlight all found items.

[10.90b2] Annotation Bar is bug-free :-)

Awesome work! All bugs I'd mentioned are wiped out!

Re: Find All; I can see what you mean, but perhaps all finds should be reflected in the AnnBar? You know, these which are highlighted when you press F3, no matter the output option.

As for the colors: this is fine, but since I'd rather have light colors in the gutter, which are lost in the AnnBar, perhaps you could add "AnnBar color" to be set independently in the theme's settings, like Document Map's background color?
