Re: Creations built using RJtextEd

My latest offering: This is to show you how I am using RJTextEd as an adjunct to another tool to implement functionality that an older product does not have. https://i.imgur.com/wktWItu.jpg Fig 1.0 Firestrike Quartermaster VB6 Windows This is a screenshot of my desktop with some software displayed t...

Re: Creations built using RJtextEd

It is good to hear what others are doing and it is a good advert for RJTed, it keeps me inspired to see what others are up to. How about just a synopsis?

Re: Creations built using RJtextEd

I know I am monopolising this thread but I would be pleased to see other people's creations here too. Please post something you have created using RJTe, I'm sure we'd all love to see it too. My programs/apps are good-looking (at least in some people's eyes) but the coding is not of particularly high...

Re: Useful Tools Complementary to RJTe

I mentioned LiceCap a few posts ago. It is a screen video capture tool that captures to GIF file format. It is simply the easiest of the screen capture tools to use and is a delight to operate, I cannot recommend any other tool over it. My trouble is that I cannot use it as it will not capture my pr...

Re: Useful Tools Complementary to RJTe

Audacity is a fine open source tool that I use to create my desktop programs. I assign various sounds to events to give my creations some 'flesh'. Without the sounds, I dare to say that the programs would lose half of their character. To capture some of the unique sounds I use a separate microphone ...

Re: Creations built using RJtextEd

I am always working on more than one program/project due to a problem with boredom and a failure to focus on a specific task, a failing of mine. I have another project on the backburner. Some programs have a function, ie. they actually do something, most of my programs do something very 'real' they ...

Re: Useful Tools Complementary to RJTe

Interlink was built from a little crowd-sourcing, the developer stood up and volunteered to create a new fork of TB using UXP and the crowd responded. He has had his cash, he built it and will support it for a year. His clients are small in number but they paid for it and that's all he needs. There ...

Re: Useful Tools Complementary to RJTe

I tried Brief, Brook Fead Reader and Feedbro, but they're far far behind NewsFox (which is discontinued and for which I keep separate Fx 56 installation). Life must go on, though; before NewsFox I was using another RSS reader and barely imagined life without it -- and now I can't even recall its na...

Re: Useful Tools Complementary to RJTe

Well, briefly, so it doesn't turn into a PM/browser discussion, PM is ACTIVELY developed and the basis for that development is the UXP framework which is fast becoming a useful standard around which a number of developments are forming. It has life by itself. They can be relied upon, they are usable...

Current Project (very late) - some Christmas Baubles I'm updating the baubles that I created three years ago to finish them off and get them 'out there'. They've just been populating my desktop and no-one else's. https://i.imgur.com/trL5yy8.png Fig 1.0 - The help file for the baubles Each plays a ca...
