Clean up the Help info?
It would be nice if you could go through the script help and clean it up and enhance it some. Like you don't say where to save scripts. There is no info about what to name the file (extensions -- jscript used to be .js but is it now .jsfs??). (and I think there is some conflicting info where that is...

Xmas Wish List
I think you should make up an Xmas Wish List so people who are thankful for what you do can either donate money or get something for you from the list. The Donation Page is here: https://www.rj-texted.se/donate.html Merry Xmas, Happy New Year, and a Joyful Holiday Season to all. (okay, most of you -...

Re: External Edit Issue
I just quit the editor, then tried it, and it worked.
And it seems to be working now.
So maybe something was messed up (confused) somewhere.

Re: External Edit Issue
The examples in Help show the filepath quoted. Is that a requirement? I don't think Filezilla quotes the parameter, it just appends the filepath. I'm not sure exactly how that works, though. Does Filezilla basically try to run RJTE again, but the editor knows it is already running, so it just grabs ...

SOLVED? External Edit Issue
I use Filezilla and I have it set up to use RJTE as my editor, which has always worked. I just tried to edit a file, and it made the editor come to the front of all of the windows, but it didn't switch to the file buffer that I wanted to edit. That is, the file was already open for editing. Before, ...

Re: Install error
I rebooted and tried to instal 12.12 first, and it got a 'standard' "failed to update" dialog when I started the editor, and it still says version 12.10 in About. But I was already at 12.12 before, so I guess the beta install error messed that up. Or, when I downloaded the updater from the...

Install error
See snapshot. I tried to do the new beta upgrade and got that error. So I chose ABORT. Now the TextEd.exe file is gone and I can't run the editor. ========== So I downloaded the 64-bit version and installed it. When I ran it, it said the install failed and to download it from the website. Then the B...

FIXED: 11.10 beta 1 Clicking inside a selection
I don't think this is really a bug, I think it has something to do with some new text drag and drop functionality you implemented. But it's kind of a bug. It used to be that when you clicked inside a text selection it would deselect the selection. (which is basically "the editing standard"...

Re: Static variables in JS scripts
It would be SO NICE if we had a simple variable scheme in Quick Macros for Power Users so we could use them for advanced text manipulation. At least numeric. String would be a plus. Even if we only got, say, 9 variables. (I'd settle for ONE; or two for dual-processing) So we could set a variable to ...

Is it possible to have a static variable that retains its value between script executions?

10.90 beta 2 auto-install
I started the install, and it was downloading. So I went to Facebook in my browser and was typing a post or comment and I think the RJTE install dialog popped up and took my typing as responses, which caused it to Cancel. It would be nice if it didn't do that. Although maybe you have no control over...

FIXED: All found text color
In Options - Theme Manager - Syntax Highlighting - All Languages,
mine is set to red with a lighter red like before and enabled.
But the other found text is showing as a light blue color.
When I changed the background color, it changed to that color.
Other than that it's much better, thanks.

FIXED: Slow(er)?
I don't know if it's just me and my system, or what.
But RJTE seems slow, and slower than it used to be with this latest beta release.
Sometimes I get (program) "Not Responding" when I close file tabs.
Like the system thinks the program is "locked up".
