I didn't quite understand what you said.

But it sounds like the LAST TAB file is ALWAYS opened.

And if one of the other tab-files is the last default VIEWED file,
it will he opened and focus set there.

When I installed the v14.0b1 it popped up a dialog box saying
that the 3 files I had open had been modified and do I want to reload them.
I just said "Yes to all".

The text in the Replace dialog "Text to find" is keeping the selection when you move off of the input box,
and it seems to be acting a bit weird, too, but that might have something to do with the selected text issue.
