Well, that was easy. I've added new menu items to split document to the right (or left) document view, in v15.70. It actually works quite nicely. The file name in the split tab is enclosed by **. Well, perhaps you could add a feature request for: "Split to left/right document view" ?

I've removed all old cloning code, but it shouldn't be too hard to add the split view to its own tab. Maybe change the tab caption to *Split* name.ext, or something.

One of the reasons it was changed is that we already have a feature that does almost exactly the same thing. Vertical or horizontal split.

And I think a clone as an exact copy of the original makes much more sense.

Doesn't work here with V15.68. I can add '.txt' with another icon, but explorer (TC also) isn't change.

It may be because you run the program as a standard user. I'll look into it.

The update issue has been fixed in v15.68. The files are now tested to see if they are in the new or old format and used accordingly.

There may still be some data left in the temp folder (%AppData%\Roaming\RJ TextEd\temp). Unless you've restarted the program after the update... Some undelete software may be able to retrieve them otherwise
