v12.35-13.81 x64: FTP & sFTP problems

Hi! (and sorry for my english)

There is a problem with the FTP and sFTP hosting provider. Provider beget.com.

Description of problem: when connection is established the connection is authorized. But if you change the directory and request the file list received from the server response causes an error message "No FTP list parsers have been registered".

FTP server from your ISP - vsftpd.

The provider allows you to create a test account to try. I can create an account if required. Or, please try to connect via FTP/sFTP themselves.

It confuses me that the client is not entering passive mode (still am talking about FTP) even if the relevant option. The server does not receive a command from the client and in Passive Mode does not pass - it might be the case?

I found the issue. It's been fixed in the next release (v12.40). Thanks!

Hi!
This problem is really fixed when working on FTP.

But when you connect via sFTP, it is saved. Already many versions in a row is preserved.

In the RJTE log:

Connect on port 22, sFTP

In the log is written to only
| Attempting password authentication
| Validate client server key
| >Connected to SFTP server!
| >Permission denied
| ChangeDir (.)
| ReadDir (.)
| >Done (Success)
| DONE - ReadDir

After that, the connection seems to be established, but the files and directories are not visible.

In the server log the same dialog looks like this:
T14:23:37+03:00 loki sftp-server[36486]: opendir "/"
T14:23:37+03:00 loki sftp-server[36486]: sent status Permission denied
T14:23:37+03:00 loki sftp-server[36486]: opendir "."
T14:23:37+03:00 loki sftp-server[36486]: closedir "."

Judging by the logs the authorization is successful.
The application from which the connection is made tries to read the / directory (that is, the root directory of the system).
Naturally in the answer receives Permission Denied.

The "/" directory is not the root directory of the system. It's usually the home directory you as a user has been assigned. So "/" could e.g. open the "C:\Users\Burunduce\" folder.

You could try to add a remote folder in the (S)FTP profile (other than "/") and see if that helps. If you have the tree view visible - try to hide it.

Hi! My favorite topic... :)

I tried different things. And directory pointed. But no, it doesn't work.

Added to this is another nuisance. When you go to the top-level directory (one level above the current one), for some reason the sequence is executed
ChangeDir(/)
ReadDir(/)

But why ?!!!

And instead of the top level, I get to the root of the user directory. Am I the only one with sFTP problems? Or no one uses it?

Hello,
I have the same kind of problems, if it's needed I can a create a temporary user for testing purposes?

I think the problem is related to the server version, I have some other FTPs that still work.

For now I have to use unencrypted FTP, it works for some time then it disconnects.

On reconnection I receive this message

Error
Connection Closed Gracefully
OK

It's impossible to reconnect without closing and restarting the program.

I think the SFTP issues are fixed now in the next release (v14.20). Thanks!
