FIXED: Printing Font

Post by hjliii »

I'm not able to make the "printing font" functionality work. In the Options Dialog under the "Editor|Font and tabs" node there is a section named "Printing". I have checked the "Enabled" box and changed the size of the font, but when I print this setting appears to be ignored. I'm expecting the printed document to use the specified font. Am I misunderstanding how this should work? Does this work for anyone else?

Thanks.

Seems like there's a bug indeed: I can't enable printing settings (font family and size), as each time after closing Options window and reopening it the checkbox is empty (I'm doing this both for all highlighters and for the specific one). On top of this, seems like print preview does not retain highlighter's settings, i.e. some colors are different and some italics are not preserved.

I can't see anything wrong.

Changing font or font size seems to work as far as I can see. And so is highlighting.

Auto adjust font size
If you use this option in the print dialog window - the font size you set in options will be ignored.

Highlighting
Print outs use there own highlighter settings. This is because the printer paper is usually white and normal text should be black.
In your own highlighter settings you may use a dark background and a white text. And white text on white paper is not going to be readable.

Right, I do use dark background, but I temporarily switched the theme to the one that uses white one. If this is by design, that's OK with me, I never used print anyway. However, switching to another font doesn't work at my end -- new font is remembered in the INI file, but is not enabled and default one is used in a print preview.

It's fixed in the next release (v14.50 final). Thanks!
