FIXED: Searching in open files doesn't allow for file type

Post by pjj »

If I search for e.g. table in Project files and specify file type, e.g. *.scss, only files with this extension are searched. If I search in Open files, file type is disregarded. I guess in this case "File types" dropdown should be disabled or, preferably, file type should be taken into account during search.

The open files window is a standard file open dialog window provided by Microsoft. If you want a different behavior from it - I think you need to talk to Microsoft :?

:? I meant Search > Find > Find in Files > Search > "Open files" range, and Search > Find > Find in Files > Folder options > "File types". Sorry for the confusion made, no need to escalate up to Microsoft (I hope).

:-D

It's been fixed in next release (v15.02). I disabled all folder options since they are not used in open document search...
