DONE: Ignore dollar symbols ($) in column sum

Post by primehalo » 11 Sep 2019 07:20

When in column mode, I select a column of dollar amounts and use Edit > Column > numerical statistics to add them up. If I accidentally get one of the dollar symbols ($) in the selection then it won't sum. So my suggestion is to ignore the dollar symbol when doing a sum.

I guess that effectively means "ignore all currency symbols", or perhaps even all non-digit characters (think "USD")?

It should handle leading or trailing non-digit values now in next release (v14.20).
