long delay when editing

Hello all.
I am experiencing a long delay (10 seconds or more) when editing. I click to edit a word and RJTexted hangs. It will eventually catch up but I have to wait.

This will happen if one or multiple files are open.
All files are on my local drive.

I anyone else experiencing something similar?

Nae, I'm not seeing this issue.
Windows 10 Pro, RJTE 16.11

I do not have mapped network drives.

Thanks for the feedback. I have seen an improvement with some changes on my side.

I'll keep digging.
