How to highlight XML Schema Definition files?

How can I associate a certain highlighter with a file extension? The editor highlights XML files, if they have the extension XML, but if they have the extension XSD, no XML-highlighting occurs and the file is treated as just a text file.

This can be done in menu Environment/Add-Ons, tab Highlighters
