DONE: Skip Keyword Search in Comments or Strings

Post by yereverluvinuncleber » 25 Apr 2019 23:03

Using other editors such as the vb6 IDE and its plugins has suggested some enhancements to RJTexEd that might be useful.

A useful adjunct to the comprehensive search utility that RJTextEd now has would be the ability to skip Keyword Search in Comments or Strings when performing a search and replacement.

Skip Options:

o Skip matches in Comments
o Skip matches in Strings

Each is activated/deactivated by a tick box.

We often need to change some variable that may exist in strings and comments as well as in code. Being able to just change the code without worrying about the effect on strings would be beneficial

Better to have combobox with choices

Scope
- entire text
- comments
- strings
- comments/strings
- except comments
- except strings
- except comments/strings

They where in previous versions, but it seems most users prefer radio boxes (faster to select and you can use the keyboard).
