SOLVED: New version errors when opening *.SRC files

Post by serk237 » 20 Jun 2019 16:14

I installed the new version 14.00 and when I try to open an *.SRC file it opens,

but I get a "Confirm" message that says"Could Not open the file.

Furthermore, I have a piece of software that moves and opens these files using RJ Text and now with the new version on the same file type I get the error but it will not open the file.

I am reverting back to the previous version.

Please advise.

Would you mind posting the file you can't open?

Also, if you're using the new option to delay the load of file until tab is active - turn it off.

I found the issue with help from Richard and wanted to post what I found.

I went into my options. In Editor under File there is an area called "Associate Files". I noticed that the .SRC was not in the list (It was before the update). I added it and tried to open the *.SRC file and it worked correctly.

As did the drag and drop.

When I did the update to Ver14.0 the association lost the SRC extension. Once I added it to the list, all is well.

Thanks for the help Richard!
