FIXED: Pressing ENTER while on a directory in the file explorer side bar sometimes doesn't enter the directory

Post by primehalo » 12 Aug 2019 19:12

Pressing ENTER while on a directory in the file explorer side bar sometimes doesn't enter the directory. And sometimes it does. I suspect that is the correct behavior but at some point something happens which stops it from working. To get it working again I have to restart the program.

To clarify, when I have a folder selected in the File Explorer side bar and I press the ENTER key, sometimes it will enter that directory and sometimes it does nothing at which point I have to use the mouse and double-click on it to enter the directory.

I am reliably able to replicate this issue.
  • Open the program. As per my settings, the file explorer side bar is visible and any previously opened documents are opened.
  • Click in the file explorer sidebar, use the keyboard to navigate up or down until a folder is selected, then hit ENTER.
  • Use the keyboard to navigate up or down until a file is selected, then hit ENTER so the file is opened. The editor window now has focus
  • Click back into the file explorer sidebar so it once again has focus.
  • Use the keyboard to navigate up or down until a folder is selected, then hit ENTER. Nothing happens. From this point on, hitting ENTER on a folder will not enter that folder until the program is restarted.
I am currently using v 14.20
